Overview
MailPoint is an automated and easy to use email and attachment management feature for Microsoft Exchange and Outlook.
MailPoint will remove email attachments while leaving a link to the attachment in the email just as if the attachment was actually still there. The user will see no difference. Even the paper clip icon remains!
You can automatically save and remove attachments and/or make copies of the actual emails into any number of specified predefined folders. Default and customisable rules can be used to control emails an attachments.
MailPoint saves disk and mailbox space and greatly improves Outlook and Exchange Server's efficiency and performance. (Note - Exchange Server is not a requirement). Exchange Server’s email database will become on average 12 times smaller instantly and disk space will never grow out of control.
There is no need to set limits on users’ mailboxes or manually tidy up users’ mailboxes anymore. MailPoint can process existing emails and attachments in your Inbox and Sent Items, not just the new ones.
If you wish, MailPoint will also schedule archiving into individual emails (in MSG format) in to your chosen location and has a built in archive browser to view all the archived emails from within Outlook, (no need to import/export huge PST files anymore).
MailPoint has the option to automatically save or prompt the user to save emails and attachments to pre-defined folder locations via one-click buttons. This gives fast and easy 'one-click' saving convenience to compliment MailPoint's automated saving features.
When forwarding an email which has had its attachment removed MailPoint simply brings the attachment back in to the email and the email is sent as normal.
