The sample below is of the financial section of the Times tested for file size and quality against the best competing file compressors on the market.
Both images were compressed to the exact same file size, however as you can see the text quality is illegible on the LHS image while on the RHS image the vPDF technology has maintained perfect quality. (Click to enlarge)
